Roger Dale Heatherly
Roger Dale Heatherly, 77, of Kingsland, Ga., passed away at home April 23, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Roger was born Feb. 22, 1945, in Philippi, W.Va., to parents Daisy (Williams) and Marcellus Heatherly. He earned six Good Conduct Medals during his 20 years of service to our nation and achieved the rank of sergeant first class. Following his retirement from the U.S. Army, Roger served as the Director of Community Development for the city of Pearl, Miss., until his retirement from that position in 2006.
Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and boating, listening to music from the 1950s and 1960s, playing computer games, watching backyard wildlife and completing home improvement projects with his wife, Carol.
