Laura Susan (Washer) Brown, 47, loving daughter and mother, died unexpectedly July 8, 2021. Laura was born in Kansas City, Missouri, prematurely two minutes after her identical twin, Anne Frances (Washer) Ogden, who died here last January. After a happy childhood, she graduated Shawnee Mission West in 1992 and attended classes at Longview Community College. She worked at Citibank in Kansas City and in Jacksonville, as well as the St. Marys Express Scripts. She was employed as a manager at Autozone in St. Marys at the time of her death.

Her hobbies included listening and singing to all genres of music, rescuing stray animals, helping others in greater need and enjoying the finer things in life, such as Taco Bell and small-curd cottage cheese. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed countless friends “lighting up the room” with her presence. She and Anne were inseparable, sharing a special lifelong bond only twins understand. She brought joy to her family, friends and colleagues. Her kindness and passion for life inspired everyone she met and made the world a warmer, brighter place. She was a born-again Christian and attended Southeast Community Church.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Kaylee Susanne Brown; her parents, Ron and Susan Howard and Doug Washer; nephews, Ryan and Andrew Ogden; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. She rests in peace with her twin sister, Anne, and her brother, Adam Washer, as well as many ancestors in Heaven. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
