Mr. Outlaw was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Jacksonville, Fla., to the late James Jr. and Ethel Mae Outlaw.

J.C. was known as “the Voice of the Cats” of Wildcat sports. He broadcasted his first game in 1982 and continued for 37 years. Aside from football, he also had the opportunity to broadcast Wildcat baseball games.

J.C. was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a loving and caring man who never met a stranger. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Mr. Outlaw is survived by his wife, Debbie Outlaw of St. Marys, Ga.; children, Heather (Darrell) Vanzant of White Oak, Ga., and James (Ami) Outlaw of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Sharon (Thomas) Woods and Sheila (Henry) Buchanan; grandchildren, Hayden Outlaw, Brooke Vanzant, Camden Outlaw, Hunter Vanzant and Melodi Outlaw; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
