Dollie Grace Mack was born to the late Jannie Kinnett and the late Oliver Nightingale Sr. in St. Marys on Jan. 4, 1952. She was raised by Jannie Kinnett and her stepfather, Eddie Kinnett.  She received a formal education from the Camden County School System and graduated from Ralph J. Bunche High school in 1970.

Dollie accepted Christ as her personal savior and was a faithful member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. She diligently served as a member of the usher board as well as a Sunday School teacher. A verse she frequently applied to her life was Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall reap if we faint not” in which she patterned her life by. She served in the Army Reserve. She was then employed by Gilman Paper Company in St. Marys. Later, she was employed by Lockhead Martin Corporation until retirement in 2013. She was well known and liked by everyone who knew her.

On Sept. 10, 1983, she joined Steve Maynor Sr. in holy matrimony and to this union two children were born.

On Friday afternoon, July 16, 2021, God called his servant, Dollie Grace Mack, to his Heavenly home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Oliver Nightingale Jr., Jesse L. Nightingale Sr., Earl Nightingale, Paul Nightingale and Loretta Williams.

Those left to cherish her memory includes one son, Sedrick O. Maynor (April) of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Staci M. George (Bradley) of Jacksonville, Florida; two stepchildren, Steve Maynor, Jr. (Ebony) of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Stefanie K. Peterson (Anthony) of Atlanta; three brothers, Terry Mack, Sr. (Alice) of Woodbine, Julius C. Nightingale Sr. of Kingsland and Timothy Nightingale (Angela) of Jacksonville, Florida; 10 sisters, Robbie Gowen of Eastman, Roberta Jones (Reginald) of Woodbine, Gloria Kinnett of Kingsland, Rosemary Bray (Norris) of Atlanta, Ernestine Hummings (Lorenzo) of Brunswick, Martha E. Nightingale of Woodbine, Atheel Austin (Nathaneal) of Kingsland, Henrietta Francis of Kingsland, Valerie Nightingale of Kingsland and Florence Nightingale of Kingsland; 12 grandchildren, Kailyn, Angel, Nataysha, Deja, Malachi, Jacari, Samiya, Sedrick Jr., Sanaa, Brooklyn, Zya, and Dillion; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, honorary grandchildren and friends.

A walk-thru viewing will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, July 23 at Allison Memorial Chapel, 10141 Colerain Road, St. Marys. 

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24 at Woodbine Cemetery, Hwy. 110, Woodbine, GA 31569.

Everyone planning to attended either the viewing or graveside services are asked to wear your masks and adhere to the social distancing protocols set to aid in the prevention of spreading COVID 19.
