Some slipholders at the Fernandina Harbor Marina received an early, unexpected and unwelcome Christmas gift — a notice that the rates they pay to keep their boats at the marina will rise in the new year, from $15.50 per foot to $19.25.
The fuel dock at the Fernandina Harbor Marina has not been operable since Hurricane Matthew damaged the marina in 2016.
