GBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting today that happened last night in Kingsland at a Gross Road apartment. A Kingsland police officer shot and killed a man who was threatening a woman with a knife.  Kingsland officers responded at 10:49 p.m.

Schools close, meal program begins

  Students attended their last day of classroom instruction Monday and began distance learning Wednesday as Camden County schools closed indefinitely in response to the coronavirus threat.

Man arrested in hit and run

A St. Marys man is facing a felony charge for allegedly hitting a child with his car last week and leaving the scene. Gabriel Miguel Melendez, 22, was arrested March 13 for felony hit and run in the incident, according to a Kingsland Police Department press release.
