The Robert S. Abbott Race Unity Institute, headquartered in Glynn County, and Women United International, headquartered in Camden County, joined forces to provide a Bedtime Bag filled with a pair of pajamas and a book for 87 children of the Camden Head Start program in Woodbine.

Saltwater Performing Arts’ ‘Elf the Musical’ opens Thursday

Saltwater Performing Arts will present the heartwarming holiday classic, “Elf the Musical,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 1 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Theatre by the Trax. “Elf the Musical” is based on the beloved 2003 movie.

Wesner named top volunteer for summer at local hospital

Southeast Georgia Health System Volunteer Services recently announced Joanne Wesner as the Camden Campus Summer Volunteer of the Quarter. Wesner began volunteering at the hospital in April 2023 and jumped in with both feet.

Lawyers demand $16M from sheriff’s office

Attorneys representing the estate of a man killed during a traffic stop in October said it wants $16 million from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office as compensation for excessive use of force and his death, according to a notice of claim released by two law firms.
