Bowen-Griffin
Michelle Bowen-Griffin, 35, of Kingsland passed away at UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Florida, on Sept. 8, 2021.
Michelle was born on June 17, 1986, in St. Marys to Craig and Ruth Bowen. She was a 2004 Camden County High School graduate. She was employed with The Heritage Bank, for the past 10 years as a universal banker. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family and her children were her life.
She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Georgia. They loved to sing together and go shopping and she loved fishing in the creeks with her son, Liam. Riding the side by side with Chad and her kids on the weekends, shark tooth hunting at the beach, and enjoying a good thunderstorm were her favorite things to do. Michelle was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, loved her Monster drinks and leopard-print clothes and accessories. She was always so cheerful and loved helping others. She was a great mom, sister, daughter, granddaughter and friend.
Survivors include her mother, Ruth Thigpen of Kingsland; her fiance, Chad Palmer of Kingsland; a sister, Kristen Gomez (Rafael) of Port Orchard, Washington; a brother, James McKenney of Baxley; two children, Georgia Ethridge and Liam Griffin, both of Kingsland; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Craig Bowen.
A memorial service to celebrate Michelle's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at Allison Memorial Chapel. There will be a visitation one hour prior to service time starting at 1 p.m. The family requests that everyone that attends to please wear a mask.
