Jackson Trevor Douglas, 28, of St. Marys died Monday, May 18, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a sudden illness.

Mr. Douglas was born in Brunswick to Ralph David Douglas Jr. and Michelle Chaney Carle and grew up in Camden County. He attended Camden County High School and was a good prankster who enjoyed a good laugh and had a huge heart. He loved his friends and family and all the time he spent with them especially the love he had for his daughter.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Audrey Chaney, and the love of his life, Megan Bickler.

Jackson is survived by his daughter, Gracelynn Mae Douglas of Evans, Georgia; his mother, Michelle Carle (husband Rich) of Patterson; his father, David Douglas Jr. (wife Holly) of Woodbine; six siblings, Jay Galloway, Joshua Douglas, Cole Douglas, Olivia Douglas, Cassia Douglas and Amelia Douglas; maternal grandfather, Alton Chaney of St. Marys; paternal grandfather, Ralph Douglas of Spartanburg, South Carolina; paternal grandmother, Jackie Vest of Jacksonville; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, at New Hope Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
