Rachel J. Hodge, 26, of St. Marys died Saturday morning, April 18, 2020, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Ms. Hodge was born in St. Marys to Christopher and Melissa Crosby Hodge and made St. Marys her home all her life. She worked for Camden County Sheriff’s Office as a 911 dispatcher where she loved her job and everyone she worked with. She was a 2012 graduate of Camden County High School. She loved her family and her little girl more than anything and always had a smile. Rachel’s life was full of laughter, fun and loving her family.

She is preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Brady Crosby, and paternal grandmother, Jean Hodge.

Ms. Hodge is survived by her daughter, Maeleigh; her parents, Chris and Melissa Hodge; a brother, Chandler Hodge (wife Kali); maternal grandmother, Deborah Crosby; paternal grandparents, Jack and Tandree Hodge; great-grandmother, Jedon Stephens; boyfriend, Hunter Albritton; aunts and uncles, Vic Crosby (wife Kathy), Chris Crosby, Beth Cameron (husband Kenny), Curt Hodge (wife Toni) and Becky Shelley (husband Brian); and numerous cousins and other relatives.

A private funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 22, in Kingsland. A committal service will be held Wednesday afternoon at Crosby Cemetery in Graham, Georgia. The family requests all Camden County law enforcement officers and 911 dispatchers serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in her honor.
