Florena Johnson of Kingsland passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Glynn Campus.
Florena Johnson was born on April 3, 1932, in Folkston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Furman Johnson; her daughter, Faye Etta Beverly Peters; her parents, Spencer Bailey and Vanilla Dawson; and her sister, Rosa Evelyna Way.
She is survived by her daughter, Mansaline Thomas (Rodney); stepchildren, Furman Johnson (Sarah), Rodney Johnson (Judy) and Barry Johnson (Rose); grandchildren, Troy Peters (Sarah) and Trevor Peters (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Koi, Kamea, Kaja, Kayden, Kai, Kataleya, Kaysn, Kaspan, Jaedon, Julian and Olivia; nieces, Deborah Johnson (Robert), Phyllis Dunham (Anthony) and Fern Currin (Carl); and nephews, Darrell Terry Way (Catha), Walter LaShawn Way (Vivian) and Christopher Way (Angela).
Memorial services will be held online via Zoom on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 5. Please contact members of the immediate family for additional details.
Interment will be in Lawnwood Cemetery.
