Ms. Estelle “Nanny” W. Lewis, 90, passed away on the morning of Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at her home in St. Marys. 

Ms. Lewis was born June 4, 1929, in Folkston to the late Steve and Myrtle Woolard.

Ms. Lewis worked as a secretary for Gilman Paper Company for over 30 years and then upon retirement became a beloved hostess at the Orange Hall historical house for 15 years.

Besides her parents, Ms. Lewis also joins her husband, Paul Lewis; her son-in-law, Bobby Sparkman; and her brother-in-law, Shelton Williams, in Heaven. 

She is survived by her twin daughters, Anita (Bobby) Sparkman of St. Marys and Irene (Marvin) Whitley of Kingsland; her sister, Thelma Williams of Blackshear; her brother, Eldon (Jane) Woolard of St. Marys; her grandchildren, Amanda (Alejandro) Cadena of Richmond Hill, Elise Davis of Telephone, Texas, and Kaila (Israel Sapp) Davis of St. Marys; and her great-grandchildren, Kailyn (Michael) Mitchell, Robert A. Madera, Esaul Cadena, Mia Cadena, Austin (Ashleigh Alexander) Davis, Wyatt Kersey, Colton Kersey, Clayton Kersey and Waylan Kersey; and great-great-grandchildren, Jonah Mitchell, Jace Mitchell and Giavanna Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service for Ms. Lewis will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys with Pastor Vernon Dillingham presiding. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ms. Lewis’ name to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.

Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland is entrusted with Ms. Lewis’ arrangements.
