Ms. Carol Ruth Carter Musgrove, 81, passed away quietly on the afternoon of Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at her residence in Kingsland.

Ms. Musgrove was born in Eugene, Oregon, on March 18, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Cleo Vernon “CV” and Olive Ruth Fain Carter. Ms. Musgrove was an executive secretary in Washington, D.C., during the 1960s and 70s. She later joined the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base transportation department and had over 20 years of service before she retired.

She loved to read a variety of books with suspense and adventure at the forefront. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Ms. Musgrove is survived by her sister, Marcia Jean Carter Bacon of Richmond, Texas; her nieces, Denise Ruth Bacon Luna of Richmond, Texas, and Ranae Lynn Bacon Charpantier of Mentone, California; and her special friends, Linda Bryan, Carla Dickerson, Peggy Toth and LeAnn Spivey, all of Kingsland.

Along with her parents, Ms. Musgrove joins her husband, Anthony Doyle Musgrove, in Heaven

A memorial gathering of friends to honor Ms. Musgrove will be held starting 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8385 at 150 Camden Woods Parkway in Kingsland.

Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland is entrusted with the arrangements for Ms. Musgrove.
