Nancy Marie Myers was born to Nora Bullard Smith and the late Dan Henry Griffin of Camden County on Nov. 6, 1962.

Nancy received her formal education in both Camden County and in Jacksonville, Florida. On April 23, 1982, she was joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Thomas C. Myers Jr. This union was blessed with two children and two grandchildren; all of whom she tremendously loved and cherished. Nancy accepted Christ at an early age.

While admiring all things beautiful, Nancy developed a love for making others beautiful. She continued her education by receiving a bachelor’s degree in cosmetology, becoming a master cosmetologist from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida.

Nancy practiced her craft of cosmetology for over 20 years in Camden County and beyond. Nancy also served Camden’s children as she worked for Camden County Schools’ extended day program. She was known for her beautiful smile, grace and calming spirit, and she displayed this in everything that she touched.  

Nancy departed this life on Saturday, May 30. She was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Delicia Chanel Myers, and her grandparents, James and Nancy Griffin and Caesar and Daisy Bullard, who both had a hand in raising young Nancy. She was also preceded in death by her father in law, Thomas C. Myers Sr., and her loving aunt, Eloise Cohen, who later raised Nancy as a teen in Jacksonville.

A true love story of a lifetime, Nancy leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband and love for over 40 years, Thomas C. Myers Jr.; her adoring son, Thomas Myers III; and her beautiful spark of life, her daughter, Trinity Chanel Myers; her sisters, Ramona Smith of Hinesville and Patrice Weston of Woodbine; her brothers, Dan Griffin, Terry Smith (LaWanda) and Walter Wade Smith of Kingsland; and two aunts, Cora Andrews and Vera Bullard, both also of Kingsland.

Raised as extended brothers and sisters in Jacksonville, Florida, by a loving aunt and uncle Earl and Eloise Cohen, Nancy also leaves cherished memories with Aroma Bullard, King Cohen, Jimmy Alberta, Alfonza Alberta (Colista), Daisy Washington (Ben), Janice Lucas, Joyce Cohen, Mascarene Cohen, Malvenia Wright (Bernard), Mattie Alberta of Folkston, Zena Wallace (Ricky) and the late Baron Cohen, all of Jacksonville.

Nancy also leaves her second loving family which includes her dear mother-in-law, Johnnie Ethel Myers; her sisters-in-law, Carletha Rainey, Cynthia Bailey (Harrell), Sharon Wynn (Moses), Errica Milton, Starlette Reader (John) and Carla Myers; and a brother-in-law, Frederick Myers.

Nancy was loved and cherished by many including a very special aunt, Barbara Jean Weston. She will be forever cherished and missed by her precious nieces and nephews, her great nephew and a host of friends, cousins and anyone who was blessed enough to pass her way. 

In regard to the restraints of the COVID-19 virus, the funeral home and the bereaved family ask that everyone in attendance use the proper PPE while in attendance and encourage individuals to adhere to the social distancing guidelines. There will not be a repast following graveside services. 

There will not be a visitation.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
