DOWLING – Orean "Jeanette" Dowling, 88, of Kingsland, Ga., passed away June 27, 2022, at her residence.

Jeanette was born July 14, 1933, in Andalusia, Ala., to the late Jessie and Myrtice Rabren Radford. For most of her life, she was a member of Ruhamah Baptist Church, where she loved her church family dearly and taught Sunday school for more than 50 years. Jeanette was an avid reader and enjoyed playing scrabble, doing crossword puzzles, sewing and canning.

Survivors include her husband of 73 years, Walter Dowling; two daughters, Gwen Harris (Rickey) of Brunswick, Ga., and Von Crumley (Harvel) of Yulee, Fla.; two sons, Keith Dowling (Linda) of Kingsland, Ga., and Wayne Dowling (Renee) of Waukesha, Wis.; son-in-law, Tripp Hill of St. Marys; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Kampe (Vernon) of Clinton, Mo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Hill; granddaughter, Amanda Howard; and brother, Buddy Radford.

Graveside services were 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Lawnwood Cemetery with her grandson, Pastor John Harris, officiating. A visitation was 8:30-9:15 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Allison Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
