GIBBS – Rayford Gibbs, 69, of Kingsland, Georgia, passed away in the early morning of June 8, 2022, while at home with his family. Rayford departed his earthly life for his heavenly home.

Rayford Anthony Gibbs was born Nov. 11, 1952, in Kingsland, Ga., to the late Amos Lee Sr. and Evelyn Irene Gibbs. He was the second of six siblings. He attended Camden County public schools. Rayford was a longtime employee of Farmers Furniture where he retired.

Besides his parents, preceding him in death is one brother, Alphonso Gibbs.

Rayford is survived by his loving wife, Seaner Gibbs of Darien, Ga.; daughter, Chiquita Gibbs; three grandchildren, Marlon Gibbs (MJ), Jeliyah Carter (Sally) and Jemire Carter (SamBoe), all of Brunswick, Ga.; two sisters, Vernestine Gibbs and Katrina Gibbs, all of Kingsland, Ga.; two brothers, Amos Lee Gibbs Jr. (Jerri) and Darryl Gibbs (Tawana), all of Kingsland, Ga.; four aunts, Cinda Smith (Walter), Loretta Dilworth and Delores Glover, all of Kingsland, Ga., and Delia Mae Joseph, of Atlanta, Ga.; seven nieces, Tonya, Vatesha, Chequera, Vanquivia, Ashley, Nisha and Tysha; five nephews, Darlron, Joshua, Jordon, Virgil (Ebony) and Keron; one god-daughter, Selena Jones (Carlos, Will Jr., Seleyah, Carla); one special daughter, LaQuinta Collins, all of Brunswick, Ga.; special friends, Peter Nermoe, Orin Jackson, Ollie Marsh (Cap), Marcus Thorpe, Tyruss Pinkney, John Henry Butler (Shaft), Perry Phillips, Warren Underwood, Joseph Butler (BoJack) and Henrietta Walker; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many more who will forever treasure his memories.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Kinlaw Cemetery, Old Still Road in Kingsland, Ga. A walk-thru visitation will be held 3-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mask and social distancing are required.
