Jaequad Bomani Smith, 22, of Kingsland, Ga. passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, Florida.
He was born on Jan. 9, 1998, to April Marie Houston-Sirmons and Henry Lee Smith Jr. in Gainesville, Florida. Jaequad was educated in the public school system of Camden County and Brantley County where he participated in the sports of football and wrestling. He graduated from Brantley County High School in the Class of 2017.
Jaequad was a member of the House of Love Holiness Church where he joined under the leadership of the late Bishop Vandell Milton, which is now led by Dr. Rhonda Brown. He was employed with Foodie'J Inc. food processing company in Kingsland. Everyone who knew Jaequad knew that he was a big Florida Gators fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memory: his loving mother, April (Hashawn) Sirmons; his loving father, Henry Lee Smith Jr.; his siblings, Sy'mia Sirmons, Nickolas Sirmons, Caleb Lee (Kinesy) Smith, Ezekiel Smith, Omar Lewis and Lexus Waters; his grandparents, Henry Lee (Artie Carol) Smith Sr., Ronnie Smith and Rosemary Smith; his girlfriend, Brionna Donat and their unborn child; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss him dearly.
A viewing will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, GA 31545
A graveside was held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Folkston.
