ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Rep. Steven Sainz (R-St. Marys) as chairman of the House Special Rules Committee. “It is an honor to be one of the first Hispanic-American Georgians to serve as House committee leadership,” Sainz said.

The controversial Spaceport Camden dominated Tuesday’s Camden County Board of Commissioners’ meeting. But there was no status change for the economic development project stalled in legal limbo. Camden County is currently a participant in four lawsuits connected to the proposed spaceport.
