Brunswick woman charged with homicide by vehicle

A 34-year-old Brunswick woman was arrested March 16 and charged with homicide by vehicle, first degree, non-habitual violator and serious injury by vehicle, according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office jail log.

The National Park Service was given $8.7 million by Congress to buy the Nature Conservancy’s 173.7 acres of land on Cumberland Island. This item was requested by U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., and U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., as part of the 2023 Omnibus Appropriations Act from December.

2 charged in connection to death

A 31-year-old man from Washington State has been charged with murder, according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office online jail log. Shane Douglas White, 31, of Bremerton, Wash., was booked at 9:54 p.m. Thursday, March 2, and charged with murder and aggravated assault.
