John Howard Bonnett, 70, of Kingsland passed away Friday, April 16, 2021, at his residence.

John was born Sept. 26, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Frank and Charlotte Bonnett. He had lived in Kingsland since 1986. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a planner with Lockheed Martin. He held a pilot’s license for small aircraft and had a passion for building and flying model rockets and airplanes. He was an avid reader enjoying military history and science fiction. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa John to his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Rebecca Bonnett; son, Geoffrey Bonnett, his wife Brandi, and their three children of Kingsland; daughters, Janine Durden, her husband Wayne, and their two children of Kingsland and Jennifer Janicek, her husband Corey, and their 2 children of Tennessee; brothers, David Bonnett of Kansas and Rick Bonnett of Vermont.
