Melissa Lynn Courson, 52, of Kingsland passed away at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Florida, on July 28, 2021.
Services to celebrate Lynn's life will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 14 at Allison Memorial Chapel, with a visitation starting at 11 a.m. until service time.
Lynn was born May 14, 1969, in Atlanta. She was a graduate of Cross Keys High School in Atlanta and was a graduate of Georgia State College. She had lived in Kingsland for the past 14 years, attended Christ Church Camden and was a clerk for the City of Woodbine, which she loved, and her co-workers were her second family. Lynn was a loving mom, wife, sister and friend. She was the glue of her family and was always willing to help others.
Lynn is survived by her husband of 20 years, David Courson; their son, Conner Courson; brothers, Steve Lewis, Kim Lewis, Johnny Lewis (Sue) and Jason Lewis, and a sister, Susan Webb (Brad), all of Atlanta; a special nephew, Jim Lewis; and her best friends, Kelly Brandt, Becky Wilson, Kerry Bombardieri, Debra Hawkins; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Lewis, father, Angus Lewis, and a brother, Jimmy Lewis.
Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
