Crew

Richard "Rick" Charles Crew, 69, of St. Marys and resident of Saluda, North Carolina, passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus, on June 27, 2021.

Richard was born on July 18, 1951, to John and Marion Crew. He had lived in St. Marys for the past four years and also with his residence being in Saluda. He grew up in Howell Michigan and served in Vietnam from 1968-1971 as a parachute rigger. He earned the national Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. He loved being on the water, fishing and being in the mountains of North Carolina. He enjoyed being at the docks and hanging out with Chris, Bob and Matt.

He is survived by his partner, Sharon Broussard of Saluda; three daughters, Tracy Brewis of Pinckney, Michigan, Cassie Crew Saunders of Stockbridge, Michigan, and Carrie Crew Gaffney of Essexville, Michigan; a son, Steven Sigsby-Crew of Louisville, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Amy Crew; three nieces, Bree Cady, Blake Cady and Brit Lamoreaux; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Franklin Crew and Marion Louise Lively Crew; a brother, John Crew; and a sister, Molly Crew. 

No services are to be held at this time.
