Davis

Matthew John Davis, 38, of St. Marys passed away at his home on Saturday, May 15, 2021. 

Matthew was born Aug. 15,1982 in Kingman, Arizona. He spent his young life there, moving with his parents to Michigan where he spent the remainder of his youth. He attended Cedars Springs High School and went on to join the military, training at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

He and his first wife, Cassy, were blessed with their son, Joseph Davis, of whom Matthew was very proud. After leaving the military, Matthew came to St. Mary’s. He was married to his second wife, Lisa, for 12 years, and they were active in Southeast Community Church.

He was a resident of Camden County for 18 years. During that time, he worked as an HVAC technician, a carpenter and finally a field manager for Woodsman Kitchen and Floors. Matthew loved spending time with his family and friends.

In 2020, he married his third wife, Sarah, who was the love of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Davis; his son, Joseph Davis; and his parents, Roger and Debra

(Winchester) Gren. He is also survived by his siblings, Sarah Butler, Rachel Hinkle, Debra Jo (D.J.) Davis, Stephen Gren, Amanda Rodriguez and Neomi Escabi-Johnson; and nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

He is predeceased by Joseph Duane Davis and Dwayne Edward Patterson.
