Martha Marguerite Dickman, 84, of Kingsland passed away April 18, 2021, at her residence in Kingsland. 

A service to celebrate Martha's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 23, at the King of Peace Episcopal Church with Bishop Frank Logue officiating.

Martha was born Dec. 18, 1936, in Jacksonville, Florida, to Joseph Edward and Dorothy Estes Kirkland. She had lived in Kingsland since 1998 coming from Valdosta. She was a member of King of Peace Episcopal Church where she served on the board of directors of the daycare, the church vestry and was the church treasurer. Martha enjoyed shopping, eating out, reading, traveling and loved to sing and dance. She was a wonderful spouse, mother and grandmother.

Martha is survived by her life partner, Albert Charles Virgin of Kingsland; a daughter, Karen Lynne Beck of Woodbine; a son, Donald Eugene DeLaHunt (Pamela) of Alabama; brothers, Larry Alvis (Beth) of Middleburg, Florida, and Robert Alvis (Dot) of Tallahassee, Florida; a sister, Shirley Meburg of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Dawn, Dana, Mandy, Chris, Kalyn and Logan; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Dickman; and a son, Stacey Eldon DeLaHunt Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the King of Peace Episcopal Church.
