Darryl Furguson, 57, of St. Marys departed this earth to be with his creator on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021.

Darryl was born June 5, 1964, in Pomona, California. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Willie Furguson Sr., Joyce T. Myers and Marcelle G. Myers, as well as his three siblings, Catherine Richardson, Avis-Merritt and Jerome Myers.

Darryl graduated from Camden County High with the class of 1983 where he played baseball. He later entered the United States Army. Afterwards he began a career with Lockheed Martin where he later retired. Darryl was well known for his passion for fishing, cooking and being the world’s most faithful Dallas Cowboys fan.

He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife, Latoya Furguson; six children, Juliette Williams (Robert), Joanie McBean (Anthony), Jasmine Smith, Ayrica Furguson, Amir McCormack and Shaneel Dobson. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Joe’l Lang, Jamari Maxwell, Janiyah McFarland, Christina Williams, Añgel Maxwell, Robert Williams Jr. and Daniel Smith III. Darryl loved his family more than anything. He also leaves behind nine siblings, Gordon Myers (Shirley), Sheryl Ferguson-Shepherd, Irneatha Lambert, Joanie Myers, Gregory Myers, John Willie Ferguson Jr. (Mary), Johnny Myers, Marcella Dawson and Lawanda Brooks (Duane).
He leaves behind so many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and so many special friends. He will truly be missed by so many. The family appreciates all of your thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement.
A celebration of life for Darryl will be held at a later time.
