Anna Marie (Blankenship) Head, 65, a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, was called home to be embraced by the Lord on June 14, 2021, after a lifetime battle of illness.

Anna was born on Sept. 12, 1955, in Madisonville, Tennessee, and lived most of her life in neighboring Maryville, Tennessee. She graduated from Everett High school in 1973 and later worked for Talbot's as a personal shopper. In 2009, she moved to Camden County to be near her daughter and grandchildren. She was a member of Restoration Camden Church, where she felt surrounded by a second family. Anna loved her friends, her family and above all she loved God. She was born and raised in Tennessee and was very proud of her Appalachian heritage. She loved rides through the mountains, a good recipe and being surrounded by the people she loved.

Survivors are a daughter, Damona Samson (James) of Woodbine; two brothers, Tommy Blankenship (Maddie) of Maryville and John Blankenship of Maryville; a sister, Pat Burt (Bill) of Maryville; six grandchildren, Tatianna, Trinity, Laylynn, Karriona, Alan (Rachel) and Adam; and her cousin, Denise Robson of Pale City, Alabama, who she loved and was more like a sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Damon and Nina Blankenship, and a sister, Sarah Blankenship.

In remembrance, the family will have a memorial at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Restoration Camden Church located at 2475 Village Drive in Kingsland. The family will then carry her ashes to be buried in the cemetery located at Oakland Methodist Church, 234 Trigonia Road, Greenback, TN 37742. The family will have a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall at the church.

Allison Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
