Matthew “Matt” Anthony Johnson, 57, of St. Marys passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System- Brunswick Campus on June 30, 2021.
Matt had lived in St. Marys for the past 39 years moving here from Norfolk, Virginia. He was a 1983 graduate of Camden County High School.
He had a passion for photography, loved spending time with his family, and adored his two dogs, Chubbs and Peanut.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Johnson of St. Marys; his mother, Ellen Snowden of Statesboro; a daughter, Miranda Johnson (Roy Brocks) of Kingsland; two brothers, Jeff Johnson of North Carolina and Stephen Johnson (Carol) of Statesboro; a sister, Billie Jean Trahan of San Diego, California; a grandson, Taevon Brocks; and nieces and nephews, Brandi Johnson, Shelby Johnson, Josh Johnson, Steven Johnson, Sean Trahan and Tommy Trahan. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Curtis and stepfather, Bill Johnson.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday July 6, 2021, at Allison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Greg Gardell officiating.
