Mr. Andrew Thomas Jordan Sr., 76, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, Florida.

Mr. Jordan was born on May 27, 1944 in Colesburg to the late Fred and Alice Jordan Sr.

He was a special forces demolition specialist engineer in the U.S. Army. He was active duty during 1965 to 1967 and Army Reserve from 1967 to 1979. He was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in the 7th Special Forces Group. He traveled to England and Germany during his tour.

He was the master mechanic at Union Carbide (retired). He was always the go-to guy. Also, the guy who could fix, fabricate or invent anything you needed. He worked at the Woodbine wastewater treatment plant and was always inventing a way to work smarter, not harder. He improved the treatment plant and even the manufacturer was impressed by his ingenuity.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his daughters, Alicia (Joe) Czubernat of Middleburg, Florida, and Kimberley Marsh of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; his sons, Andrew (Brandie) Jordan Jr. of Middleburg and Jason (Ghislaine) Jordan of Kingsland; and his grandchildren, Brandon Jordan, Jason Jordan Jr., Tristan Marsh, Jonathon Jordan, Kylee Czubernat, Zarek Czubernat, Dylan Jordan and Emma Jordan.

Besides his parents, Mr. Jordan was also preceded in passing by his sisters, Sherry Jordan and Diane Wingate; and his brothers, Melvis Jordan and Fred Jordan Jr.

A visitation for the Jordan family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at noon Wednesday, April 14, in Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine with Pastor Chris Ogden presiding. Mr. Jordan’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland is entrusted with Mr. Jordan’s arrangements.
