Walter John McCrea, Sr, 65, of Woodbine passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick Campus on July 30, 2021.
Mr. McCrea was born on Jan. 5, 1956, to the late Walter and Sophie McCrea. He had lived most of his life in Weirton, West Virginia, then moving to Woodbine in 1983. He worked as a mechanic for Kings Bay Navy Base until retirement. He was an avid fisherman, Steelers fan and loved Camden County Wildcats football. In earlier years he coached the Lyons Club bull pups. He was a loving husband, father and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Ada McCrea of 45 years and a son, Frank Joseph McCrea, both of Woodbine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Sophie McCrea, a son, Walter John McCrea, Jr., and a daughter, Angel Marie McCrea.
No services are being held at this time.
