Morton

Raymond Michael “Mike” Morton, 74 of Jesup passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. The England native and former resident of Kingsland had lived in Wayne County the past eight years and was a member of Ruhamah Baptist Church in Kingsland. The retired road construction superintendent enjoyed fishing, hunting, remodeling houses and woodworking. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Morton, and a brother, Kevin Morton.

Survivors are a daughter, Rhonda Christine “Christie” McCurry of Kingsland; a son, Raymond “Ray” Michael Morton Jr. of Jesup; three grandchildren, Amber Quesada, Stephanie Aikens and Breanna Smith; four great-grandchildren, Riley, Vincent, Luke and Maleah.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 29 in Temple Creek Cemetery, Hwy. 40, Kingsland, GA 31548 with Rev. Fred Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery.
