Olson

Richard Claire Olson, 94 of Kingsland, originally of Albert Lea, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2021. 

Preceded in death by parents, Ingvald Gustav (Curly) and Vera Marie (Doud) Olson; wife of 73 years, Bonita Joyce (Anderson); sister, Patricia Perkins; and son, Richard Charles Olson. 

Survived by sons, Mark Richard Olson (Stephanie), Eric Martin Olson (Holly), and daughter, Kim Colleen Oliver (James); grandsons, Lars Olson (Heather) and Timothy Forrester (LauraBeth); granddaughters, Stacy Williams (Jonathan), Kasey Armbruster (John), Khristinia Olson (Marcus) and Chelsea Olson; and many great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Dick was a proud military veteran who served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a loving spouse and devoted caregiver to his dear wife, Bonnie, during her many years with Alzheimer's disease. He loved and deeply cared about his children, grandchildren and families. He is now safely in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Private interment will be held at a later time at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Alzheimer's Association or the donor’s favorite charity.
