Ms. Joan M. Pafford, 89, of Kingsland passed away on the evening of Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
Ms. Pafford was born on Dec. 9, 1931, in Kingsland to the late Shedwick and Mary Estelle Brazell.
“Momma” loved going to sit by the river and talking about the past. She enjoyed visiting the local stores to shop and chatting with everyone she knew. She loved expanding her recipe collection and was avid about celebrating the holiday seasons.
Ms. Pafford is survived by her daughter Kay (Bill) Haynie; her sons, John Pafford and Randall Pafford; her grandchildren, Jordon (Jessica) Pafford, Falon (Ben) Struggels, Brooke (Steve) Cloud, Callie (Trevor) Dobrowski, and Rachel (Skip) Swain; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Rykar, Scarlytt, Nadylie, Alexys, Miles and Flynn.
Besides her parents, Ms. Pafford was also preceded in passing by her brother, Leonard Brazell.
A visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. A service followed at 11 a.m. in the Woods-Wainwright Chapel of the funeral home with words by John Cooner. Private burial will be held in Brazell-Peeples Cemetery.
Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland is entrusted with Ms. Pafford’s arrangements.
