Riddle
Arnita Riddle, 81, of Kingsland departed her earthly home peacefully on Thursday, April 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Arnita Riddle was born in Louisville, Georgia, on Aug. 14, 1939, to the late Willie Bosie Mathis and Maggie Mae Bell Mathis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John Mathis, Willie Bosie Mathis Jr. and Donell Mathis; and three sisters, Henrietta Williams, Vivian Gibson and Lena Carswell.
Arnita attended school in Louisville. She was a member of Carnegie Chapel Church. She never met a stranger. She was a helping, loving, devoted friend and neighbor who went out her way to help those in need. She was employed by Trusting Hands Corporation for over 15 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Joyce Riddle Wilkerson, Aggie Key (Milton Jr.), Catherine Williams (Robert Sr.) and Cherry Ann McIntosh (Patrick); two sons, Lee L. Riddle (Roxanne) and Mark Riddle Sr.; 13 grandchildren, Chiquita R. Wilkerson, Antwan R. Wilkerson, Kenya V. Anderson, Cameo C. Riddle, Kyanna J. Roberts, Neito T. Wilkerson, Alisha A. Smith, Riesa R. Person, Jasmine J. McIntosh, Jalisa J. Taylor, Robert L. Williams Jr., Mark Riddle Jr. and S’Niyah O. Riddle; one brother, Alfonzie Mathis Sr.; one sister-in-law, Katie Shivers Mathis; special friends, Jeanette Riddle, Evelyn Riddle, David Wilkerson, Pearlena Sinkfield, Louis Roberts and Barbara Shivers; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and beloved church family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, at Kingsland Cemetery in Kingsland. In the event of inclement weather, funeral services will be held at Carnegie Chapel Church (Kinlaw community). A public, walk-thru viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 9, at Sunset Funeral Home. Masks and social distancing are required.
