Spead
Efferen Eugene Spead, 60, of Kingsland passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System, Camden Campus.
Efferen Eugene Spead was born into the world on Jan. 11, 1961, to the late Mr. Commie Lee Spead Sr. and the late Mrs. Naomi Glover Spead. He attended the public schools in Camden County. He attended New Wave of Glory Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Charles Buck. Efferen worked in construction and was known around the county as a master construction worker, meaning whatever he was asked to operate, he could do it.
Efferen was preceded in death by both parents; his sister, Teresia Glover; brothers, Herman Glover, Marvin Glover, Carlton Spead and Commie Lee Spead Jr.
He leaves to mourn his passing, two daughters, Carlina Spead and Kytra Spead; a grandson, Ja’Cory and a granddaughter, Heaven Mikya Spead; sisters, Gwendolyn (Jim) Banks, Woodbine, Karen Spead, St. Marys, Sherlma (Willie) Watkins, Kingsland, Cassandra (James) Cox, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Nadine (Ulyses) McCrea, Miami, Doretha (Frank) Humphrey, Folkston, and Mary Robinson, Springbluff; brothers, Cornell Spead and Kevin Spead, both of Kingsland and Kenneth (Tayra) Spead, Sandersville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 14, on the grounds of Sunset Funeral Home, 401 N. Lee Street in Kingsland.
