Luberta Drummond Sullivan, 76, of Woodbine peacefully passed away at her home on Monday, March 22, 2021.  

The last of nine children, she was affectionally known by her nieces and nephews as “No. 9.” Luberta was born Jan. 9, 1945, to the late Laurie Sr. and Edith Smith Drummond.  

She was a faithful member of Westlight Baptist Church. She was an active member of Ralph Bunche Alumni Association, graduating in the Class of 1963.

A pillar of the community known for her warmth and charitable heart, Luberta leaves to mourn her husband, Homer Sullivan, Woodbine; two daughters, Ivy Sullivan-Grubbs, Jacksonville, Florida, and Dawn Sullivan, Austell; two sons, Michael (Chastity) Sullivan, Riverview, Florida, and Carlos (Daniela) Sullivan, Sembach, Germany; two grandsons, Christopher Grubbs II, Jacksonville, and Maalik Baisden, Austell; one granddaughter, Michaela Sullivan, Riverview; one brother, Laurie Drummond Sr., Woodbine; three sisters, Catherine Lattany and Ella (Thomas Sr.) Brown, Brunswick and Essie McKenzie, Winter Haven, Florida; sisters-in-law, Ann Weston, Kingsland, and Gloria (Theodore) Williams, Woodbine; brothers-in-law, Mack Sr. (Lorraine) Sullivan and Bernard Sullivan, Woodbine; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Woodbine Cemetery, U.S. Highway 110 in Woodbine. A public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Sunset Funeral Home in Kingsland. 

In accordance with CDC guidelines, those in attendance are required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
