EASON – Clyde M. Eason, 65, of St. Marys, Ga., passed away May 23, 2022, at UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Fla. Clyde was born on Dec. 29, 1956, in Claxton, Ga., to the late Joel and Thelma Eason. Clyde and his wife, Teresa, moved from Baxley, Ga., to St. Marys in 1985. He worked for the St. Marys Police Department for 25 years until retirement. EASON – Clyde M. Eason, 65, of St. Marys, Ga., passed away May 23, 2022, at UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Fla.

Clyde was born on Dec. 29, 1956, in Claxton, Ga., to the late Joel and Thelma Eason. Clyde and his wife, Teresa, moved from Baxley, Ga., to St. Marys in 1985. He worked for the St. Marys Police Department for 25 years until retirement. He worked for Code Enforcement for the City of St. Marys before working for the Kingsland Water Department. Most recently, he worked as a courier for Camden Pharmacy. He was a kind, gentle, caring man and would do anything for anyone. He loved his family and loved being called "Papa.” Clyde enjoyed fishing and small-engine repair, and his passion was playing his guitar.

Survivors are his wife, Teresa of St. Marys, Ga.; children, Joshua Eason (Tabatha) of Kingsland, Ga., Joel Eason (Stephanie) of Yulee, Fla., and Christy Raby (Jimmy) of Kingsland, Ga.; siblings, Jimmy Eason (Glenda) of Edison, Ga., Luella Anderson of Baxley, Ga., Nellie Williams of Cohutta, Ga., Christine King (Jim) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Johnnie Will Kessner (Jerry) of Riedsville, Ga.; grandchildren, Kimberly, Sheyenne, Samantha, Dakota, Kaitlyn, Naomie, Fallon, Connor and Finnegan; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Luca.

Funeral services for Clyde will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Three Rivers Church with Ian Dent and Zane Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service.
