Hurley is artist of the month at Olde Towne

The Olde Towne Gallery will host a reception 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, that will highlight the work of featured artist of the month of October, Jean Hurley. Refreshments will be served. Hurley is from West Chester, Pa., and learned to knit when she was only 9 years old.

Hurricane Ian is coming to Camden County, and the Camden County Board of Commissioners have declared a state of emergency before the storm arrives. According to the National Weather Service, the hurricane’s eye will pass just east of Camden County on Friday morning.

A popular Camden County pastor has been sentenced to 29 months in federal prison, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice. Mack Devon Knight, 45, of Stonecrest, and formerly of Kingsland, was sentenced in federal court in Brunswick.
