Charges dropped vs. jailhouse beating victim

The Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office has dropped charges against a 41-year-old Greensboro, N.C., man who was allegedly beaten in the Camden County Jail. According to a warrant dismissal, charges were dropped against Jarrett Jarrod Hobbs.

Camden County Commissioner Jim Goodman says he has filed “an official complaint” with the State Bar of Georgia against County Attorney John Myers, according to a letter he wrote the commission’s chairman and county administrator.

Kingsland man accused in stabbing

The Kingsland Police Department arrested a 27-year-old man Sunday and charged him with aggravated assault and aggravated battery, according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office jail log and a news release from the arresting agency.
