A 27-year-old Kingsland man was arrested July 29 for attempted car theft and aggravated assault after allegedly grabbing a woman by the throat while attempting to steal her vehicle in the parking lot of Publix at 1601 E. King. Ave.

Residents at a local assisted living facility must find a new home by the end of this month as Coastal Senior Living of St. Marys will be closing its doors on Aug. 25. Residents and their families were notified on July 26 that the facility was closing. The letter served as their 30-day notice.
