Dawn Eggleston, 61, of Kingsland is accused making false statements in an attempt to defraud the government of $830,354.20 while representing local nonprofit, Our Daily Bread Inc. Eggleston was arrested Friday, July 16 after being indicted by a Camden County grand jury the day before.

  Camden County on Tuesday celebrated the opening of the Laurel Island Parkway Trail, a 4-6-mile hard-surface trail that will provide a safe pathway for those using alternate forms of transportation along the roadway.

A tax millage rate increase is not planned this year for countywide or unincorporated property owners, according to the county’s chief financial officer.  Camden County Board of Commissioners approved the fiscal year 2022 budget during a regular meeting last week in Woodbine.
The change in ownership was celebrated on Wednesday as officials gathered for a key presentation ceremony at the gates of the Cumberland Inlet development in St. Marys. The sale of the property closed this week.
