Fire destroys house in Kingsland

A Kingsland family of seven was displaced after a fire destroyed their home in Kingsland last weekend.  According to Chief Terry Smith of Camden County Fire Rescue, the call came in at about 8:10 p.m. on Friday in the Settlers Hammock area of Laurel Island subdivision.

Grant writer pitches deal to Woodbine

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is turning to the City of Woodbine in its quest to outfit one of its deputies with a vehicle and equipment. Sheriff Jim Proctor has contracted with a grant writer from Fitzgerald, Bonnie Kelly of Kelly Consulting LLC, to help fund departmental expenses.
