Housing values, numbers increase in Camden County

Camden County is seeing a continued increase in the number of housing units and the value of those units, an upward trajectory that began in 2021 as the county began to emerge from the COVID-19 related decrease in activity.

First sea turtle nests of season hit Georgia islands

As if the sea turtles off Georgia’s coast coordinated it, three sea turtles laid the first nests of the season Sunday evening, coming ashore on Jekyll, Wassaw and Blackbeard islands. Typically, the first nests appear on Cumberland Island, but that wasn’t the case this time.

Health system celebrates with charitable donations

In recognition of National Doctors’ Day, Southeast Georgia Health System cranked up the volume to celebrate the more than 300 physicians at its multiple facilities in southeast Georgia. From spreading hope to saving lives, doctors rock our world every single day.

Georgia white shrimp receives official status

What’s left of Georgia’s wild-caught shrimp industry is hanging on in the face of massive Asian imports, and state leaders decided to memorialize the history and legacy of the industry, along with a commitment to its continued existence, by naming the white shrimp as the official state crustacean.
