Camden County High senior named Commended Student

Camden County High School senior Inaaya Raoof was named a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, was presented by Principal James Phillips to Raoof.

Jail woes dominate forum

Two longtime law enforcement officials met Tuesday night in a Camden Votes forum to discuss why they should be elected Camden County’s sheriff. Incumbent Jim Proctor, an independent, has served as Camden County sheriff since 2013. He’s seeking his fourth term in office.

Power of love

Love conquers all — even a hurricane. On Saturday, Sept. 28, Taylor Bohannon and Chris Shea were scheduled to host their dream wedding at Villa Ospo on Jekyll Island. Catering, music and flowers were planned months in advance. Family was converging on Glynn County from around the Southeast.
