FAA grants site license for Spaceport Camden

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced this morning that it has awarded Camden County with a launch site operator license for Spaceport Camden. The license will allow the county to host up to 12 small vehicle launches per year.

A Waverly man was shot and killed by Camden County deputies just before noon Friday while they were serving an arrest warrant for three felony counts of exploitation of children.

Several citizens complained to the Camden County Board of Commissioners during a regular meeting Tuesday about strong odors in their neighborhood that is infringing on their quality of life and causing health concerns.

Government staffs across Camden County worked together on a plan that would provide free, on-call daytime transportation. The St. Marys City Council unanimously signed off on their end on Monday, as did the Camden County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday night.
