Man arrested in hit and run

A St. Marys man is facing a felony charge for allegedly hitting a child with his car last week and leaving the scene. Gabriel Miguel Melendez, 22, was arrested March 13 for felony hit and run in the incident, according to a Kingsland Police Department press release.

Jurors reach verdict in karate civil suit

After deliberating for several hours last week, a Camden jury found in favor of four men who alleged in a civil lawsuit that their karate instructor, Craig Peeples, sexually abused them as teens. They will not receive anything in damages.
