8 CCHS seniors commit to education careers

Eight seniors from Camden County High School were celebrated for their commitment to the field of education during a special local signing ceremony as part of Georgia’s first-ever Teach in the Peach Statewide Educator Signing Day initiative.

On-location filming began April 25-26 in St. Marys for the upcoming feature film, “Roadware,” a production of Tandem Media and Pigmental Studios. The film was written and directed by Jason Radcliffe, co-founder of Atlantic Beach, Fla.-based Tandem Media.

Trash becoming more expensive in Camden County

Camden County will be paying more for its trash service as curbside waste contractor Meridian Services requested a price increase tied to the Consumer Price Index. The deal struck between the county and Meridian in 2022 allows Meridian to increase its rate at 75% of the CPI.

Lisa Allen’s Dance Works’ Dazzlers recently wrapped up their final competition of the season at Dance Troupe Inc. (DTI) in Jacksonville, Fla. “Although it’s bittersweet to see the season come to a close, we couldn’t be prouder of our dancers and their remarkable accomplishments,” Allen said.
