Camden County commissioners approve $85 million budget

Camden County has a budget to head into the next fiscal year, which came in balanced at more than $85.9 million before, just prior to its passage, commissioners voted to fund several positions at 75% and made other trims that impacted the final number, dropping it by more than $90,000.

Following a vote two weeks earlier to reject the city’s proposed budget, the St. Marys City Council approved an amended budget this week that will allow the necessary two weeks’ time for city staff to put it into place before the beginning of the next fiscal year in July.
