44-year-old service member charged with sex crimes

A 44-year-old Kingsland man and member of the U.S. Navy was arrested Friday, May 9, and charged with rape and aggravated sodomy, according to documents provided by the Kingsland Police Department. Jason Edward Ordeneaux is currently being held at the Camden County jail without bond.

County: Take action to prepare for hurricanes

The National Weather Service (NWS) designated the week of May 4-10 as Hurricane Preparedness Week. In response, the Camden County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is urging residents to take proactive steps to prepare for the Atlantic hurricane season, which begins June 1.

Disney’s “Aladdin Jr.” is playing at Pigmental Studio from Friday, May 16, through Sunday, May 18. Performed by Saltwater Performing Arts’ Junior Troupe, the 60-minute musical, designed for middle school-aged performers, is based on the 1992 Disney film and the 2014 Broadway adaptation.
