Loretta Tin Luen Wong, 80, of Yulee, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021. She was born on Oct. 15, 1940, in in rural Canton, China, to the late Lau Pak Min and Fung Wang See. Loretta is survived by her husband, Kenny, and son, Alex, but is preceded in death by her son, Alfred.

Way

Cal Edwin Way, 66, of Yulee (Sandhill community), Florida, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at Baptist South Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida. Cal was born on May 26, 1955, in Fairfax County, Virginia, to the late Mary Alice and John Way. Cal attended the Camden County School System.

Cox

Kathleen Vernell Cox, 84, of Woodbine passed away early Friday morning, Aug. 13, 2021, at Hospice of the Golden Isles after an extended illness. Born in Waycross, her parents were George Hamilton Cox and Maude Elizabeth Booth Cox.

Arnett

Joseph Cleveland Arnett III, lovingly known as JC, passed away on Aug. 14, 2021. He was 69 years old. JC was born in Jesup, but lived in Kingsland for the past 43 years. He was born Jan. 17, 1952, to Joseph and Nellie Arnett. JC was married to Deborah Scarborough Arnett for 48 years.

Smith

Rickey Lee Smith was born on Aug. 10, 1956, in Fort Oglethorpe and passed suddenly on Aug. 7, 2021 in Folkston. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Teresa Smith; his daughter, Kristina Smith-Murray; his son, Andrew Smith, his mother; Wanda Mick; two brothers; Wesley G. Smith, Jr.

Paulk

On Aug. 3, 2021 Robert Cunningham Paulk, peacefully surrounded by his family, ran into the arms of Jesus. Robert “Bobby” Paulk was born in Zuta to James D. Paulk and Willie Cunningham Paulk on Sept. 6 1936. He grew up with Paulk’s Pasture and the marshes of Glynn as his playground.

Higginbotham

Donald “Dony” Robert Higginbotham of Waverly had a sudden and fatal heart attack on Aug. 6, 2021, at his mother’s home at 19 Holly Oak Trail, Waverly, GA 31565.  He was 47 years old. Although born Oct.

Mitchell-Clark

Karen Mitchell-Clark, 57, of Kingsland passed away on Aug. 8, 2021, at her home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. A walk-thru visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Straight

On July 30, 2021, Gary Richard Straight lost his six-month battle with stage 4 lung cancer at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. Gary was born in Seattle Washington, on Dec. 29, 1948, to the late Robert and Margaret Straight, who also had another son named Robert (Bob).
