William "Bill" Richard Anderson, 60, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at his mother’s residence on April 11, 2022.
Bill was born in St. Marys on June 10, 1961, to Billy and Francis Anderson. He grew up in Camden County and lived his younger life here and then went off to college and graduated from Georgia South Western, where he earned an associates degree. He then moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where he has lived for the past 40 years. He was loved by all who knew him and he never met a stranger. Billy was very sociable, loved people and enjoyed volunteering in the community. His pride and joy was his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Bill is survived by his mother, Francis Anderson of Kingsland; his siblings, Clyde Anderson (Julie) of Kingsland, Myrtice Marrs (Fred) of St. Simons Island, Lisa Patel (Hans) of St. Simons Island, Susan Clark of Kingsland and James Pierce of Columbia, South Carolina; his two best friends who were more like brothers, Chris Watson and Eddie Taylor, both of Jacksonville, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William "Billy" Anderson and a brother, John Pierce.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 18 at Lawnwood Cemetery with Pastor Greg Gardell officiating.
